An Officer and a Spy (L’ufficiale e la spia) directed by Roman Polanski, starring Jean Dujardin and Louis Garrel, 2’12”, FRA-ITA 2019

In January 1895, Georges Picquart, an officer in the French army, witnesses Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish captain, being publicly stripped of his rank , having been accused of being an informer for the German enemy. This dishonourable turn of events is followed by imprisonment on Devil’s Island, in French Guiana. Although the case now seems closed, Picquart realises that information is still being passed to the enemy. Is Dreyfus truly guilty?
