Since spring 2021, the XNL Piacenza Contemporanea exhibition space will host an exhibition devoted to Gianfranco Ferré, describing his special bond with Piacenza that developed in the 1980s in particular, when the fashion designer sponsored the restoration of the Guercino frescoes in the dome of the cathedral. Ferré was fascinated by these 17th century paintings and took inspiration from Il Guercino’s Sibyls for one of the lines of clothing he designed.

The exhibition opens with the drawings for this very collection, and continues in Galleria Ricci Oddi, where some of Ferré’s clothes will be exhibited next to 19th-century paintings depicting elegant ladies in period costumes.
A single ticket will be issued, permitting entry to the XNL, the Galleria Ricci Oddi and to the Cathedral dome, where Il Guercino’s frescoes can be admired.
