Getting to Piacenza by car

From Milan and Bologna take A1, exit at Piacenza Sud or Basso Lodigiano; from Turin take A21, exit at Piacenza Ovest; from Brescia take A21, exit at Piacenza Sud.

→ From the Piacenza Sud tollbooth: keep right and take Via Caorsana passing in front of the city cemetery, and after the overpass turn right again onto Via Colombo. When you reach the Monument alla Lupa, keep right, and head towards the train station. Continue straight on until you reach Piazzale Milano (Monumento ai Pontieri), turn left and continue up Viale Risorgimento, then park in Piazza della Cittadella.
→ From the Piacenza Ovest tollbooth: at the roundabout, turn left onto Via Emilia Pavese. This long stretch ends at a roundabout, where you turn left again and join the city ring road, eventually reaching the Monumento ai Pontieri, driving alongside the Renaissance walls. Turn right again onto Viale Risorgimento and park in Piazza della Cittadella.
→ From the Basso Lodigiano tollbooth: turn left at the roundabout, following the signs for Piacenza; once you have crossed the bridge over the River Po and arrived at the Monumento ai Pontieri, turn left towards the car park in Viale Sant’Ambrogio (where there is a free car park), or else continue straight down Viale Risorgimento and park in Piazza della Cittadella.
